Platform architecture
Commenda is built around three interconnected portals, each designed for a specific user type:- Company portal — Where businesses manage their own entities, compliance, and tax obligations
- Advisor Portal — Where advisory firms manage compliance across multiple client businesses
- Service provider portal — Where operational teams fulfill compliance work and manage service requests
Core workflow
Onboard your organization
Sign up for Commenda, create your organization, and add your business entities. Each entity represents a legal business structure (corporation, LLC, etc.) that you need to manage compliance for.
Configure your entities
Enable features for each entity based on your needs — indirect tax management, compliance monitoring, tax and reporting, and more. Connect your integrations (Shopify, Xero, QuickBooks, etc.) to automatically import transaction data.
Manage compliance
Commenda tracks your activity against registration thresholds in each jurisdiction and alerts you when action is needed. Manage your registrations, file returns, handle exemptions, and run tax calculations — all from a single dashboard.
Request services
When you need professional help with filings, registrations, or incorporations, create a service request. Track progress through defined steps, monitor SLA timelines, and collaborate with your service team via built-in chat.
